Provides quality early childhood programs to children and families of low to moderate income that meet program income guidelines. The program meets the individual needs of children and families through the following content areas:
*Education/Disabilities—Children receive education opportunities that pave the way for all children to experience success, enhanced social competence, and acquire readiness skills for kindergarten. A minimum of 10% of Head Start enrollment is comprised of children with disabilities.
*Family Services—Offers support to all family members
*Mental Health—Fosters mental health by promotinghealthy social and emotional development for each
child and family.
*Parent Involvement—Provides educational workshopsand training opportunities for parents.
*Health—Early screenings, monitoring of immunizations and physical examinations to meet child’s health need.
*Nutrition—Meals are provided daily to ensure childrenmeet 2/3 of their daily nutritional requirements,

Self Help Inc.
Community Partnerships for Children is dedicated to increasing the affordability
and accessibility of quality early care and education for children of working
families. CPC provides scholarships for working families to help afford
childcare for preschool children. CPC also provides financial and on-site
technical support for center based programs and family childcare sites to
achieve their national quality credential (NAEYC/CDA), as well as offering
extensive education opportunities and resources. CPC also has Specialists who
are available to work with participating programs and families: Parent Support,
Behavior Resource and Language Acquisition Specialists. CPC serves the towns
of:
Hockomock Partnership: Foxboro, Franklin, Mansfield, Norfolk, North Attleboro, Norton, Plainville, and Wrentham
Sachem Partnership: Abington, East Bridgewater, Middleboro, Rockland and West Bridgewater
Project SHARE Partnership: Avon, Easton, Holbrook, Randolph and Stoughton
CDS Partnership: Canton, Dedham and Sharon
To qualify for a childcare scholarship you must:
* Live in one of the towns in the Partnerships listed above
* Children are between the ages of 2.9 years and 5 years (not yet eligible for kindergarten)
* Parents are working
* Meet the following income guidelines

BROCKTON ATTLEBORO
This program is a closed referral program, where Family Case Workers provide flexible parenting support, advocacy and informational services. The goals of the program are to strengthen families and protect children at-risk for abuse/neglect. Services include weekly home visitation to focus work on meeting the family’s needs and assisting families in accessing community resources. Presently FBSP is designed to address parenting issues as they relate to cultural differences and values.

The MELD Young Moms and Growing Families Programs serve single teen moms aged 13-25 who are pregnant or parenting a child 0 – 3 years of age.
The MELD parenting groups are free and are facilitated by women who were once teen parents themselves. They provide support and education through the MELD curriculum which is organized into the following areas:

* Child Development
* Child Guidance
* Parent Development
* Community Resources

A source of loans and grants to property owners in Southeastern Massachusetts to abate lead hazards in their residential property (either single family or rental unit) where at least one child under age 6 resides in the property to be abated. The program offers:
· Grants, market rate, low or no interest loans and deferred loans for up to half the cost of deleading.
· Assistance with relocation of tenants during abatement process.
· Experienced staff knowledgeable in all facets of lead abatement.
· Assistance finding other resources for property owners share of costs including MHFA’s Get the Lead Out Program.
· Educational financial assistance to low income individuals wishing to attend classes and achieve certification as licensed deleaders.
