ATTLEBORO SITE OFFICE The Self Help Attleboro Site Office serves in a variety of capacities including:
FUEL ASSISTANCE INTAKE: Although the Attleboro Site Office is open year round, Monday through Friday, it serves as a Fuel Intake Site only from November 1st to March 31st each year*. (*Depending on the funding source, this time can be extended, check with your local Fuel Assistance program.) Fuel Assistance applications are taken by appointment only. Clients can call (508) 226-4192 to schedule an appointment. Appointments are scheduled daily from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
The Self Help Attleboro office administers a FEMA Energy program to residents of Bristol County. This program is seasonal and not available year round. Check this web site for posting of FEMA availability or call the Attleboro Site office at (508) 226-4192. The FEMA program is for families in an Energy Emergency which includes a utility shut-off or no heating fuel. A one time payment of $200 can be applied toward a utility or heating fuel delivery. Families must have exhausted all other available resources before applying for FEMA assistance. FOOD PANTRY

Community Outreach ProgramThe Self Help Community Outreach Program helps people meet basic needs by providing assessment, advocacy, direct service, information and referral to residents of the Self Help service area. Outreach Workers assist clients with services available within Self Help and from a network of community agencies and providers offering services and resources for specific crisis needs. Program staff help people apply for assistance with programs such as Food Stamps, Fuel Assistance, TAFDC, WIC and Weatherization. Direct services provide immediate assistance necessary to alleviate the family's crisis situation and stabilize their lives. Direct services assist clients with:
During the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, a limited number of food baskets are distributed to needy families. This is a through a partnership with Attleboro area human service providers and merchants.
The Attleboro Site Office is available to intake applications to the Head Start Preschool program. Pleas call in advance for list of documentation needed to apply for this program.
